Lincoln University Programme Finalist for Business Incubator Award

The "Venture Out" programme at Lincoln University is one of two business incubator programmes worldwide nominated for the Incubator Innovation Award at the NBIA's 25th International Conference on Business Incubation.

The programme is run in conjunction with Powerhouse Ventures Ltd. Teams of students learn the skills to become leading entrepreneurs by getting hands on experience at developing a business plan using real intellectual property from around Lincoln.

The week-long programme involves learning theory about the different parts to a succesful business plan. Speakers from local enterprises share their expertise with students, showing them how to turn good ideas into successful businesses.

The winner of the award will be revealed at the NBIA Awards Luncheon on April 12, during NBIA's 25th International Conference on Business Incubation in San Jose, California. Venture Out is competing with a programme from the University of North Dakota Center for Innovation for the prize.
