Graduate Diploma in [Specialty] Education

This programme is designed for those professionals with an existing teacher education qualification acceptable to the New Zealand Teachers Council. It will appeal to registered teachers in Montessori and Steiner centres and schools and those in Pasifika early childhood centres/units that do not yet have a recognised specialist qualification in their chosen area of specialisation. It may also appeal to those who wish to extend their knowledge base, and registered teachers from state schools and ECE centres who wish to extend their knowledge, skill and opportunity in specialty areas. The programme is also open to International teachers who have a recognised teacher education qualification who wish to specialise or upgrade this qualification and to parents and others who may wish to complete all or part of the qualification out of interest.
