The Graduate Diploma in Arts is designed for students with an undergraduate degree to pursue further study to broaden or deepen educational, professional or vocational knowledge and skills in a familiar subject or discipline already gained in an undergraduate programme or to develop knowledge in a new area.
The programme has the advantage of being of relatively short duration and is particularly attractive to people who have undertaken an undergraduate degree but wish to update their knowledge and skills to remain competitive in the workplace. The diploma is also suitable for those graduates who have developed an interest in a new field of study because it allows a person to shift direction without having to undertake a full degree in the new area of interest. The Graduate Diploma in Arts is also attractive to those people who simply have an interest in a particular discipline or field and who wish to study at degree level.
