The programme for this postgraduate degree includes an internship in the area of psychological, special educational, and social work services. Candidates are also required to participate in seminars involving casework, projects and professional practice. This is followed by a comprehensive oral examination covering the work of the whole course.
To be admitted to this programme, students need to have completed the requirements for a Master’s degree approved by the Senate or its representative and have passed at least 10 points in courses in Education having a substantial content in Educational Psychology, and 8 points in EDUC 757, EDPROF 651 & 652, and undergraduate courses in Psychology having a total value of at least 10 points. A student enrolled for this postgraduate diploma has to follow a programme of the equivalent of one full-time year and pass courses with a total value of 14 points.
