The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree demands full-time attendance which requires a minimum of 20 hours per week attendance in the formal [supervised] studio sessions from 9am - 1pm daily. It is expected that further work of a personal development nature will be undertaken during the afternoon sessions [2-4pm] or in the evenings. Such time may not be substituted for attendance in the morning sessions. All courseworks submitted for examination should be carried out within the School or under School supervision. If unsupervised work is submitted the section has the option of not considering the work.
The Elam School of Fine Arts seeks students with proven ability in the visual arts, and the potential to develop that ability within the context of the University education structure. Each admission application is viewed in the light of past achievement work in progress and clarity of purpose.
