The BEd (Tchg) will give you a thorough understanding of the cultural, social and psychological contexts of Education. Courses in English, mathematics and Science are also included to enhance your knowledge of key curriculum areas. You will also take courses in Teaching Studies and Professional Practice.
Advanced courses within the programme give you the option to specialise in Maori Education. There is also an option for Maori medium teaching. The BEd(Tchg) is also offered through The University of Auckland at Manukau programme and you may study the entire programme there.
