The BA(Hons) is a one-year full-time, or two-year part-time, graduate degree with the option of taking either courses or a combination of courses and directed research in one subject or discipline. This qualification allows students to enhance their Bachelor of Arts with the equivalent of one year's graduate study. It consists of at least 14 points in either a combination of Master's level courses and an Honours Dissertation or (for some subjects) Master's level courses alone. Honours Dissertations are usually either 4 or 6 points. No undergraduate courses may be included in the BA(Hons).
To be eligible to enrol for the BA(Hons), a student needs to have completed the requirements for a BA, with an average grade of at least B- in the Stage III courses required for the major.
