Mesake Nauqe

Bula Vinaka !!!

My name is Mesake Seavula Nauqe.  I am from Suva, Fiji.  I have been at Kelston Boys High School for the last 5 months.  I came for a Rugby Scholarship.

I am homestaying with a Fijian family, they are always friendly to me.  That is why I am always thankful for their help.  For me it is always good to be staying with a Fijian family because I tend to eat food that I always eat back home.

When I came to Kelston Boys High School, first I found many different things between Kelston and my previous school.  For example students can choose six subjects but back at home (Fiji) we can only choose five subjects, this includes Maths and English as the two compulsory subjects.  Secondly, students usually   argue with teachers about their problems however in Fiji students cannot argue with the teachers and must show respect.

This school has been helpful to me in many ways.  The teachers are so friendly and are helping in some subjects that I am taking for the first time eg., Tourism.  The school has also given me opportunities to travel around Auckland to many different schools to play rugby.

I would like to conclude by saying that I like this school and its environment.  Foremost I will not forget the memories of Kelston Boys High School
