Chuang Chun Chi - also known as Sally - has been studying in New Zealand since 1995. Prior to this, her father's work in agriculture had brought him to New Zealand in early 1990's and he had loved New Zealand the moment he set foot in the country. So when Sally was requiring secondary school education, he sent his daughter to study at a New Zealand high school.

After completing her bursary in 2000, Sally decided to continue her New Zealand education, and enrolled for a degree in Commerce, majoring in Management Science, at the University of Canterbury. She also studies Russian just for interest. Sally has particularly appreciated the flexible degrees at the University of Canterbury, which offer the opportunity to study subjects needed for a career path and subjects that cater for personal interests.

Sally loves the Christchurch lifestyle and the weather. 'The buses are very efficient and make it very easy to get around". She flats with her brother who also studies in Christchurch. She finds it very peaceful and is able to spend time on leisure activities like reading and playing badminton. Impressed by the quality of facilities at the campus, Sally also has a very high regard for her professors who "are excellent teachers in their fields". She finds the students at the University of Canterbury friendly and outgoing.

With her education in Management Science, Sally would like to join her father's business in the production of agricultural goods after graduation. She is also looking forward to travelling to Russia to make new business connections for her father and put her Russian language skills to good use!
