As a large and diverse university, AUT is able to offer a full and comprehensive range of courses from pre-degree and English language programmes through to undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.

Each year about 26,000 students (full time and part time)study at AUT, including approximately 1200 international students(full time).

Location

AUT consists of two campuses: Akoranga on Aucklands North Shore and Wellesley, located in the heart of Auckland city, close to the central business district.

With a temperate climate (warm in summer, cool in winter), beautiful harbours, beaches and parks, Auckland is a great place to enjoy leisure time and is within easy reach of surf beaches, mountain ranges and skifields.

Academic Courses

The range of programmes and staircasing options offered by AUT ensures a continuity of learning is possible, from pre-degree to doctorate. Students enter at the level appropriate to them.

Students study in one of four faculties:

  • Faculty of Arts
  • Faculty of Health
  • Faculty of Business
  • Faculty of Science and Engineering.

These offer programmes in fields as varied as communication studies, hospitality, applied arts, design, business, health studies, science, engineering and information technology.

Recommended Living Expenses: $100-$130 pw (excluding accommodation)
Accommodation: On campus $160-$210 pw; Homestay $200 pw (all meals included except lunch weekdays).
