"I chose this college because actually I saw in on an Internet site. I liked many of the programmes and study pathways in it. My uncle confirmed that there are many good teachers in this school who can help you to achieve your marks (I need 7.0 in Academic IELTS).

In Jordan many students have background in English language, and many subjects in University are taught in English (e.g. Bachelor Degrees). I guarantee 70% of Jordanian student have a good knowledge of English language. When I was studying nursing, all materials and exams were in English.

Actually, I have seen many different cultures here in New Zealand, like Asian cultures and Kiwi culture, and my English is beginning to improve. When I arrived my conversation was not good yet, but after 3 weeks I feel I can converse with others on different subjects and in different situations. Especially, my flatmates are Australian (1) and Kiwis (2) so many times I have to talk with them.

I spent 2 weeks in Vicky's class (IELTS II) which was good as an introduction to Keith's methods, like how to write sentences. And she encouraged to us to speak out in class (e.g. 3-5 minutes of mini-presentation). I think this helped me to break down the "shame" or embarassment between me and the audience.

Now I have moved up to IELTS I. Keith is a very very good teacher and he helped me in one week to do different strategies when I want to write an essay. My sentence formation, how to connect sentences using pronouns and conjunctions, my speaking - Keith covers everything!"

My plan is to become a Registered Nurse here in New Zealand.
