Seung Hoo Jin

Despite having studied English for five years in Korea, Seung Hoo Jin was still having difficulty with both speaking and listening. The solution was English language studies at a New Zealand English Language school. "Studying at Dynaspeak, especially in the speaking class, really helped me improve those skills."

Seung Hoo then chose to continue his New Zealand education at tertiary level, with a Bachelor in Computer Science and Information Sciences at Auckland University. Recently graduated, he sees several advantages of his New Zealand education. "New Zealand's education system is more flexible at University level than in Korea. There was a greater selection of papers so I could choose, to a point, which papers I wanted to study. And my Auckland University degree will be recognised internationally as well - it's a great advantage to study at an English-speaking University."

And for Seung Hoo Jin, the environment has been ideal for learning. "It's very calm and peaceful here. Some of my friends have studied in Australia and USA but it seems from their stories that the lifestyle isn't so easy and perhaps it's a little more dangerous. I love the lifestyle here - I'm in a soccer club and there are so many great sporting facilities. And of course the people are very kind and friendly."

Education now complete, Seung Hoo Jin has remained in New Zealand and is now applying his programming skills at an accountancy company, assisting with development of a new product for small businesses.
