Set in beautiful Christchurch, the school is close to the city with easy access to tertiary institutions. Set in 8 hectares of landscaped grounds the school offers first-class facilities. Complementing the standard classrooms are computer rooms, music suites, gymnasiums and specialist science rooms. There is a modern computerised library complete with CD rom and internet access.
The school offers a wide curriculum at all levels. It is nationally recognised for its excellent Performing Arts department and the quality of its music programmes. Many overseas students are part of the orchestra. In addition a wide range of sporting and cultural activities are offered.
Linwood College welcomes international students. There is a full time English Academy available for new students and those wanting to gain academic English skills or prepare for IELTS exams. Class sizes are limited to allow for personal attention and speedier learning. We provide an ideal learning environment with excellent facilities and modern resources.
New students are tested when they arrive and placed into suitable programmes.
Homestay accommodation is arranged by the school in nearby homes. Qualified staff and first language assistance is available to help and advise new students with any problems at school or at home when they arrive. All students are met at the airport on arrival and taken to their homestays.
Fees for 2007 are NZ$10,500. Homestay accommodation is $170 per week.

Term 2 - 23rd April - 29th June
Term 3 - 16th July - 21st September
Term 4 - 8th October - 14th December
