International students enjoy the challenge of an excellent academic environment. They also benefit from a strong pastoral care network who help with any worries or concerns. An orientation programme on arrival helps students quickly settle into school life. They appreciate the numerous opportunities to play sport and music and to join in the many activities which make up Rangitoto College life.

Most Rangitoto students go on to university or other tertiary institutions.

Homestay families are chosen carefully and live close by in large comfortable homes usually within walking distance to a local beach.

The normal academic year runs from February to December in four 10 week terms. Intakes of International Students are taken in February, May, July and October.

Rangitoto College has some of the best facilities in the Southern Hemisphere. These include:

Rangitoto College has a dedicated international student office with four full time staff including a homestay co-ordinator and two part-time homestay assistants.
