Isabel Delmonte de Almeida

Recently having arrived in New Zealand for secondary school studies, Isabel Delmonte de Almeida is thorough enjoying her time at Avondale College in Auckland. “This experience is very nice because I am learning about different cultures in the world. In Avondale College, there are different nationalities.”

Of key importance to Isabel has been the support she has received, from both her homestay family and her school. “My homestay mother talks to me a lot about life in New Zealand. My home is very close to the college and it is possible for me to go to school by walking. I like this because it’s very comfortable.

“My college is very big and has lovely teachers. Miss Quah and Miss Berry from the International department have helped me whenever I needed help. Avondale College is a great college!”
