Mr Halimin

Halimin’s first introduction to New Zealand was for English language study in 1997. He then chose to continue his international experience, and spent time in both Japan and Australia. With the strength of the English skills he obtained in New Zealand, he returned to study and completed a Diploma in Business in Australia.

However, when considering further tertiary education, Halimin decided to come back to New Zealand. Finding he could cross-credit from his previous studies in Australia, he enrolled for the Bachelor of Business at the Manukau Institute of Studies (MIT) and completed his degree in 1 ½ years with a major in Marketing.

Now in the early stages of developing his career, Halimin has chosen to stay in New Zealand, putting his business and marketing skills into practice through working in a supervisory capacity within the retail sector.

“New Zealand is really a good place to study, it suits hardworking students. I enjoyed my time at MIT – the staff are very friendly, helpful and easy to approach. And assignments are relevant.”

Enjoying the New Zealand lifestyle, Halimin would like to stay for another 3 - 4 years before considering further international experience. Currently working in Auckland’s Sky Tower, he’s certainly started his career with great views of the world around him!
