Westlake Boys' High School is an all boys state school of 2,200 pupils situated on the affluent North Shore of Auckland City. The school is near vibrant shopping centres, beautiful, clean beaches and within 15 minutes by bus from the heart of Auckland City. From our 2000 seating auditorium and performance centre to our modern, well equipped classrooms, Laboratories and workshops,we have the facilities to make your educational experience enjoyable.

Academic Cultural Sporting Success in an Exciting and Safe Environment
Westlake Boys High School offers 2 pathways towards University Entrance. Cambridge International Examinations and NCEA. Nearly all of our Year 13 students qualify for tertiary education and we offer a very wide variety of courses and opportunities. For those wanting to experience something new, boatbuilding, outdoor education, Automotive Engineering, Hospitality and Food Technology, are just some of the courses which will expand your horizons.
We encourage all our international students to participate in our extensive sports programmes. While we offer opportunties for the elite athlete and sportsman to develope and excel, we recognise that for many sport is a fun, healthy activity; we have a team for everyone. Within the last 4 years we have been New Zealand Schools Champions in Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball , Sailing and Provincial champions in Tennis, Rugby, Hockey and Cricket. Top coaches produce top athletes and winning teams.
Westlake Boys High School, in combination with Westlake Girls High School, has one of the most extensive and exciting music programmes in New Zealand. From our 90 piece orchestra, to our various bands, ensembles and our many choirs, Westlake High Schools dominate the music scene.
Our close relationship with our sister school, Westlake Girls High School ( 400 metres away) provides plenty of opportunity for socialinteraction.
Care and Support
Westlake Boys High School has an extensive support network for our international students. We have dedicated staff who look after all your pastoral care needs. We have first language speakers available inKorean,Mandarin, Thai and experienced speakers of French, German and Japanese. From the moment we meetyou at the aiport to take you to your homestay, you will feel safe and secure.Our Health Centre has a full time nurse and a physio therapist to look after your well being.
