I had always wanted to visit New Zealand, because I had heard so much about the beautiful landscape here. I was trying to find a university that offered Drama as a teachable programme and also took mid-year intakes. AUT had both.

 

I like the variety in my programme. I am in school for four weeks and then I do a placement at a high school for four weeks. It keeps things interesting. Also my classes are only in the mornings allowing me flexibility to work and also get out and enjoy New Zealand. It is a good school/life balance.

 

I love weekend getaways in NZ. There are so many tramps to do and beaches to swim at, and everything is relatively close. Within Auckland City you can walk around and get just about anywhere pretty easily. 

 

My lecturers are wonderful and caring. They are passionate about what they do, professional and very approachable and helpful. The classes are informative and interesting, with a good balance between group work, lecturing and discussion. You really feel supported by the lecturers; they really want the best for you.
