Most people know me as Mann. I’d like to tell you why I’ve enjoyed my time here at EIT so much.

EIT Hawke’s Bay is such a fantastic campus – it has everything going for it!  The peaceful surroundings, the lively atmosphere, the welcoming student fellowship and superb tutors – all things vitally important for an ideal study environment.

Not sure what to study?  Don’t worry because EIT has an enormous variety of educational programmes – there is something for everyone. And I’ve been very impressed with the level of high-quality resources made available to all students – and along with well developed courses and highly qualified academic staff, they are also very helpful to International students like myself.

The lecturers assisted me with my studies whenever I asked for help, things were made to look very simple and easy and I felt completely comfortable during my assignments and exams.

EIT has the best science laboratories, equipped with the latest technology for the full spectrum of sciences, including wine science. Complete with a small vineyard and purpose-built working winery, EIT is the number one choice in New Zealand for any wine-related course.

In addition to providing assistance with assignments and exam preparation, EIT gives assistance in the process of finding future job opportunities. I have already been offered a job as a wine consultant which I will take up after I have finished my Diploma.

Along with my studies I worked part-time as a sommelier in one of New Zealand’s best-known wineries, Mission Estate Restaurant.

I enjoyed my stay at EIT’s student residential village - so very modern and comfortable and with 26 different nationalities; it’s a great opportunity to embrace different customs and cultures.

I enjoyed studying at EIT so very much; I can now clearly see my life-goals coming to fruition.  New Zealand was always my dream country, but my time at EIT made it more than I expected.
