Established in the 1983, Design & Arts College of New Zealand (D&A;) is the South Island's only tertiary institute dedicated to arts and design education. D&A; is New Zealand government funded and registered.

The Design and Arts College of New Zealand (D&A) bring around 400 students from all over the world together with 40 professionals to create a community of people passionate about design and arts. The College is the South Island’s only tertiary institute dedicated to design and arts education and is New Zealand government funded (TEC) and registered (NZQA).
