I studied at Tauranga Boys' College for over 3 years. I am from Korea. New Zealand was recommended to me as a place to gain a better quality education. I arrived in New Zealand with my auntie and although my Auntie's family went to Auckland after a year, I decided to stay in Tauranga. I lived with a Homestay family and I was very happy with the atmosphere, the school and the environment surrounding me. I know I made the correct decision by coming to Tauranga Boys' College in New Zealand. I made many friends from different countries and I improved my English very much. I enjoyed going on trips with the International Department to places like Rotorua, the mountains for skiing and the beach and playing soccer against local school International teams. I expect to come back to New Zealand, back to this amazing place sometime in the future. Due to my success at Tauranga Boys' College, as an International Student, I am now studying a Degree course at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Oh - by the way, I was the only student to gain an NCEA Level 4 Scholarship in Economics at the end of 2007!
The Bay of Plenty has beautiful beaches and is a major fruit growing region.
