Jin Hee Park

My name is Jin Hee, I am 15 years old and come from Korea. I have been at Waitakere College for 6 months and I can happily recommend you come to Waitakere College, it is such a nice school! I love my school.

I especially like ESOL at Waitakere College. Everyone in my ESOL class is so lovely. They are all kind and happy to help you with English. Mrs Thomas, who is in charge of the ESOL Department is so nice as well as being a great teacher! She cares about every student and is always asking how we feel and how we are getting on. I haven’t been homesick at all because I feel so well cared for by her and the other teachers here!

Another thing I like about Waitakere College is the Kiwi Buddies. Before I came to New Zealand I was worried about making friends here. I realise now I shouldn’t have been worried because the school gives you a really nice friend! My Kiwi Buddy is Lucinda and she is really nice! She also helps me a lot.
