I am from Chiba, Japan, and came to New Zealand about three years ago after graduation from high school in Japan and spent two years in a New Zealand secondary school.
I originally planned to study for BCA in Accounting after graduating from school, but I did not get enough credits for direct entry to a university, so I spent a year in the Foundation Studies Programme so I could qualify for entry to the degree.
That was not an easy decision for me though I am not regretting my choice.
The classes in the Foundation Studies Programme are reasonabyl easy for me and I have been able to join a local rugby club. The social clubs like sports or cultural clubs are the best way to improve your English and blend into the New Zealand culture.
After I finish this course, I am planning to study some other languages and creative writing to be able to translate literary works, such as novels and picture books
Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city. It’s full of cafes, bars and theatres and has a beautiful harbour.
