“Before I came to NZ I was running my own company, we specialised in Multimedia projects especially from the US and Europe. I came to NZ for several reasons.  I wanted to settle down and also expand my business.  I find Invercargill to be a very pleasant place, as opposed to India, there are no crowds or traffic or pollution.  Also in Invercargill the workers are punctual and efficient.

I came to SIT because it provides a level 8 course, and also I needed to know a lot about business.  I already own one, but this course provided me knowledge on how to start up and run a business.

My new business is called Business to Business Portal.  It’s a web application where people can work to earn money online. I’m still doing the dissertation work.  SIT provides me with a supervisor that helps with each step of my dissertation. 

The course content was very helpful for my research on my business.  The way it is designed is very specific for my needs.

When I finish in August I will look for a permanent job to settle myself down and work on my businesses.  2015 is the planned launch. I have had two jobs during my time here at SIT.  It was very helpful.  It actually showed me the talents I had.  SIT has been very supportive. Working here in such a friendly environment has brought out the creativity in me.”
