Locations
You can study in Hamilton where our main University campus is and enjoy student life in this beautiful city. If you like the outdoors and the seaside you can study in Tauranga and take advantage of all the leisure activities there and enjoy one of�New Zealand's�most famous beaches, Mount Maunganui.
Facilities
We have excellent facilities available.�Both centres offer students free Internet and email access. Self-access rooms are also available for private study, and are used during class time. Audio and video facilities are available to help improve language skills, as is a range of English academic material. Both centres have free tea and coffee facilities and microwaves.
Teachers
Our teachers are university-qualified, with at least a Bachelors degree, and some have Masters degrees. All of our teachers are specialists in additional language teaching and most have spent time living and teaching overseas and are familiar with international cultures. We use the latest English as an Additional Language teaching methods for our lessons.
Student Support
Our staff are always willing to help students in any way we can, whether it's advice for what to do after completing their English study or how to deal with living in a�foreign country. We have Student Recruitment Officers and Student Advisors to help students decide what to study at University.

Each week students are able to enjoy themselves with regular activities, whether it is a sports night at the University Recreation Centre or a Barbeque at the Language Institute. Teachers organise activities that students can choose to participate in.
Also many students get together and organise their own activities.

The homestay experience helps you to learn more about NZ life and culture, and as you practice speaking with your homestay family it helps you learn English faster! You will have your own room, with three meals a day provided. Your family will help you with settling into NZ.
The homestay and accommodation staff are always willing to help out when any problems arise. Alternative accommodation is possible (subject to availability) and you can discuss this with Waikato University Accommodation Officers.
