How does the Efektaâ„¢ System work? The Efektaâ„¢ System 'turbo-charges' immersion learning. You learn more in class because more time is spent speaking and less time is spent memorizing. You learn more in the language lab, because iLAB technology allows you to pinpoint and focus on your personal interests and exact weaknesses. And you can enhance your learning even more outside of the classroom with Efekta's new handheld LPod.

There is a wide range of course options available at EF Auckland. You can tailor your course to suit your own learning style and requirements - for the student who wants to spend a lot of time exploring the country there is a Summer Basic course (20 x 40 minute lessons per week); a General Course brings the study time up to 26 lessons, while the Intensive course sees the student hard at work with 32 lessons per week. Both General and Intensive courses include 6 lessons per week of interactive learning in the computer lab using the Efekta system. General and Intensive students also choose from a variety of interesting and challenging Elective classes, currently featuring lessons on New Zealand Language & Culture, Film Appreciation and Creative Writing, alongside the always popular Conversation and Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation classes.

Students with a strong academic focus are also well catered for. We offer exam preparation classes for Cambridge First Certificate, Cambridge Advanced and Certificate of Proficiency as well as IELTS preparation classes. Students wanting to go on and study at university in New Zealand or around the world will receive an excellent preparation through our 6 or 9 month University Foundation Course. Top quality universities in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, USA and the United Kingdom all accept the EF Brittin College/GAC UFY course offered at EF Auckland.
