Auckland

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city, with 1.3 million people.

New Zealand's British based, high quality education system is internationally recognised. Thousands of international students choose to study in Auckland, for its warm and welcoming environment, inspiring surroundings and extraordinarily rich multi-cultural society.

Wellpark College offers International Students a warm welcome and invites them to experience the supportive environment and gain comprehensive, officially recognised education in natural therapies.

In 2008, we enrolled students from all around the world, includingthe UK, Ireland, Norway,Germany,Holland, Italy,Iraq, UAE, United States,Japan, China, Korea, India, Thailand,Fiji, Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Wellpark College is the leading provider of natural therapies learning. We provide courses in naturopathy, massage, aromatherapy, herbal medicine, nutrition, ayurveda and yoga to certificate or diploma level. All courses are NZQA approved and lead to rewarding careers in the natural health professions. Wellpark College is an NZQA-registered private training establishment and is ideal for any international student who wants to study abroad to gain qualifications at a school of natural medicine while immersed in the full New Zealand experience.

The future for natural therapies is exciting. The use of natural medicines is growing annually as individuals take responsibility for their health and wellbeing. The more paternalistic models of medicine are being challenged. The first goal for natural therapies students is to find out how to manage their own physical health, mental wellbeing and spiritual awareness.

They can then assist others in this process of self-discovery. Such work has many implications for our communities. It will bring a lifetime of rewards.

The college is dedicated to integrated medicine. In this healthcare model, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and natural therapists work together to determine individual health plans that recognise the whole person (mind, body and spirit), optimises wellbeing and effect the best possible recovery from illness.

So Wellpark is moving towards research-based teaching and staff-conducted research projects. We recognise that the Western medical model is based on evidence-based medicine. While natural medicine has grown through generations of wisdom from many cultures, it too must prove its efficacy.
