What is New Zealand International Campus?

In 2002 agreement was reached between the New Zealand Government and New Zealand International Campus, Wellington Ltd to create a state of the art educational facility designed specifically to meet the very special requirements of international students.

The campus will be home to a wide range of educational providers, providing courses fromFoundation to Post Graduate level. Each provider will benefit from the pan-campus focus on international students and the attention to detail that such a facility can provide.

We are aware that international students have chosen to study in an environment that is different from their home country and away from the support of their family. For this reason students can expect a far greater level of teacher contact hours, English language support, academic support, teacher accessibility, social support and cultural awareness than would be found in a traditional learning environment.

All aspects of student life are focussed on creating a positive living and learning experience.

The Campus

New Zealand International Campus is located in the beautiful Hutt Valley, just 30 minutes from the Central Business district of Wellington and venue for many scenes of the movie trilogy 'The Lord of the Rings'�.

Set in 40 acres of park land, NZIC offers students a world class education in world class facilities. The international focus of the campus ensures graduates are excellently placed in the world job markets.

The modern facilities include four lecture theatres, fully equipped classrooms, computer lab, library, gymnasium, tennis courts, sports fields, on campus accommodation, cafeteria, satellite TV lounge and poolroom, ensuring that students are well catered for in both their academic and leisure time.

The Accommodation Centre

The Accommodation Centre provides for all student accommodation needs. Students are interviewed to evaluate their housing requirements and staff then recommends the most suitable accommodation option. All Accommodation options meet the requirements of the New Zealand Code of Practice for International Students.

Halls of Residence

The Halls of Residence are only two minutes walk from the classrooms and provide students with a safe and supportive environment to study. Each student has their own bedroom within communities of 15 and each area has its own shared bathroom facilities, lounge, kitchenette, and laundry room.

Homestay

All our home stays are carefully checked and vetted to ensure that students will be living in a safe and comfortable home. Students have their own furnished room and all meals are provided. We regularly interview both students and Homestay hosts to ensure that students are happy and well supported.

Flatting or Rental

We assist students to find houses or flats to rent individually or on a shared basis.
