Curriculum

The college offers a wide range of courses through to NCEA Level 3. Many courses are run in partnership with the local polytechnics providing stair casing into National Certificates with Tertiary providers.

Special Features

We offer an extensive and comprehensive range of extra curricular activities and student support programmes.

  • International Students - Aorere College is only accepting up to a maximum of 30 International Students a year. This small number allows us to have regular personal contact with parents of International Students and homestay parents in New Zealand.
  • Student welfare is paramount - our Student Support Centre offers services and programmes for individual students; and the Director of International Students continually monitors student progress and wellbeing.
  • English Language Support - Aorere College has a very strong ESOL Department. We offer intensive Reception Programmes for beginners to English for Academic Purposes programmes for advanced learners.
  • Cultural Diversity - Aorere College students come from 38 different cultures &speak a total of53 languages.
  • Aorere College is committed to sports and cultural activitiesbelieving that theseextra dimensionsadd to the holistic development of the student.
