The Uniqueness of AIS St Helens
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, AIS St Helens is a unique and distinctively international tertiary institution.
One of the oldest and largest private degree providers in the country, students and staff come from around the world to study and teach here. The diversity of people's backgrounds creates a community that is a global microcosm. Respect for diversity in languages and cultures is an integral feature of the education we deliver.
With over 800students from more than 30 countries, students gain opportunities to learn not only from books and lecturers, but also from their classmates. Many cross-cultural friendships and business ventures have developed on the AIS St Helens campuses.
AIS St Helens programmes are focused particularly on the global marketplace and many of our students find work offshore upon graduation.
Our dedicated teaching staff enjoy personal contact with students and class numbers are kept low to maintain quality standards. As a result our students receive individual attention and are often studying at a higher level than their peers who have chosen to study elsewhere.
We have three semesters per year commencing January, May and September. This system allows students to fast-track their courses. Dedicated students can complete a diploma and degree in a shorter time than at most traditional institutions, allowing them to enter the workforce more quickly. English Language programmes start on any Monday, except for the six-weekly test weeks.
Tailored options are available for students who want to combine courses from different programmes. For example, some students choose to do a Bachelorin International Business majoring in E-business but also study some papers from the Bachelor of Arts (Language and Culture)programme or the Bachelor of Tourism Management programme, thus giving them a cutting edge in the international business world.
The flexibility, fast-track options and friendly, nurturing environment make AIS St Helens a popular place to study. In addition, a range of monitoring mechanisms are utilised to ensure that the quality of AIS St Helens courses is maintained at the highest international standards.
Many opportunities are provided to students and staff alike through our links with overseas organisations. We have affiliations and exchange programmes in place with education providers in Korea, China and Japan.
