Capping off an extraordinary year of success, Victoria University debaters Sebastian Templeton and Richard D’Ath have taken on the world and won. On December 21st the pair took top honours at the World Universities Peace Invitational Debate in Malaysia, beating Oxford, Cambridge and Ateneo de Manila universities in the final.
New Zealand university project to fight diseases in South Asia

A New Zealand university has received World Bank funding to develop an on-line project to fight animal-borne diseases that can transmit to humans, such as bird flu and rabies, in South Asia.
