Saudi Polytechnic Managers Train in NZ
Wednesday, 10 June 2009
Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology) in Hamilton, New Zealand is holding a training day for 20 executive staff from the Technical & Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
(via Wintec) This follows a visit to Wintec earlier this year when a delegation identified Wintec as having the capacity and capability to teach their executive staff in specific areas of tertiary management. The Kingdom of Saudi is to embark on a massive programme of establishing approximately 30 polytechnics in Saudi, with the objective of providing world class education for its citizens, by growing its own capacity, rather than importing expertise.
The Wintec executive education management training will include :
Industry engagement
Curriculum development
Internal and external approvals including quality
e-Technologies
And a presentation by Wintec’s Curriculum Factory on e-delivery.
The training will be undertaken by Wintec staff on the institute’s city campus.
