Danielle Cummings, graduate student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M; University, has been awarded a NSF East Asia and Pacific Summer Institute (EAPSI) fellowship for 2012 and will take it up at the University of Canterbury.

New Zealand's Minister for Immigration has just announced that beginning in late July 2012, most full fee-paying students coming to New Zealand will no longer need expensive medical checks from approved doctors. A simple TB test will be all that's required.
