Takapuna Grammar School is a state co-educational secondary school of around 1700 students established in 1927 to serve the needs of Devonport, Takapuna and the wider North Shore community. It is one of Auckland's historic grammar schools with a long proud history and fine tradition. It provides high quality, balanced education in a positive teaching and learning environment. Students are assisted to reach their full potential and are challenged to strive constantly for excellence in their academic, cultural, social, recreational and sporting activities.
Academic Programme
International students are placed in mainstream classes in a range of subject areas including Commerce, Mathematics, Science and Arts areas. 90% of school graduates move on to tertiary studies. There is access to ESOL support and English programmes. National examination results are consistently well above national averages in all areas.
Student Welfare
International students are in homestays or living with parents or designated caregivers and theseare regularly and carefully vetted. There is a full support system for students with accommodation, courses, welfare and documentation. Students have access to counsellors and careers and university courses advice.
Extracurricular Programme

Tuition Fees
The 2008 tuition fee is $12,800 plus $1,600 administration fee.
