AUT has given me the opportunity to work and learn alongside some of New Zealand’s most innovative and creative researchers. My decision to come to AUT was based on the University’s Research Development Plan, which values the dynamic integration of research and engagement while nurturing the educational aspirations of the diverse groups it serves.
AUT offers an innovative approach to research and its commercialisation, a great degree of autonomy with respect to research methodology and state-of-the-art research infrastructure.
New Zealand is one of the most picturesque countries in the world and offers an excellent standard of living, with many exciting cultural and recreational opportunities. The concept of ‘New World Thinking’ gives New Zealand that extra edge and I’ve found New Zealanders to be very honest and hospitable.
My journey so far has been a remarkable learning experience where I have been able to grasp the finer points of dealing with people, their apprehensions, their circumstances, and above all my own capabilities. I am truly enjoying embarking on this new and dynamic chapter in my life.
