Three NZ Business Schools Accredited by EQUIS
Monday, 7 December 2009
Prestigious EQUIS accreditation has been granted to three of New Zealand's universities for their business schools.
The University of Auckland, the University of Otago and the University of Waikato have all been granted membership into this exclusive club, proving that New Zealand is a top quality destination for studying business.
EQUIS is a stringent European quality standard held by only 118 business schools in 34 countries. The EQUIS emblem identifies business schools as having world-class faculty, resources and facilities, and assures that current and prospective students are receiving world-class education.
To qualify for EQUIS accreditation, the school must undergo a rigorous process of formal self-review and evaluation by a Peer Review Team of deans from accredited schools. Panel members assess the school against international criteria for business education quality. They interview staff, students and external stakeholders. The panel also examine curriculum delivery, research quality, and how the school connects with the business sector.
