The Cornell TESOL course is an eight week programme designed for non-teachers who want to teach English to Speakers of other Languages and for practicing teachers who wish to move into this area. This is an initial qualification which will equip the trainee with the basic skills and knowledge needed to work as a TESOL teacher.
The trainees who successfully complete the Cornell TESOL Course will have an extensive range of theoretical and practical skills associated with language teaching and the learning process. They will have the skills needed to enable them to work in both familiar and unfamiliar environments, and they will be able to work substantially without supervision, while being themselves responsible for the progress of a group of students.
