NZ Diploma in Business

Christchurch - Canterbury
This Diploma is a 2-year, 4-semester course, aimed at giving you a well-rounded education for entry into further tertiary studies or directly into the business world. Full-time study consists of 3 papers per semester, plus an English and Study Skills/Learning Styles component in the first 3 semesters. Cross-crediting of papers towards a business degree is available at New Zealand universities and polytechnics.
If you are planning to enrol for further education in a New Zealand educational institution, you should consider taking one of our academic courses. We recommend that if you want academic study, you should start your course with a period of General English.
Course content for all courses includes:
- Simulated test practice
- Vocabulary extension
- Reading Comprehension
- Speed Reading
- Test-Specific Grammar Review
- Error Correction Tasks and Idiomatic Language
International textbooks are used, as well as interesting and relevant material prepared daily by your teacher.
All courses lead to internationally-recognised English language qualifications.
The New Zealand Diploma in Business is offered by Canterbury Language College Australasia (CLCA) in partnership with Aoraki Polytechnic and is accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
Entry Requirement: NZDipBus Internal Test 70%+
Education: Year 11 with superior grades in the NZ school system or equivalent
Age: Must be over 17 years old at enrolment
Assessments: Assessment is continuous, rather than relying entirely on final examinations.
Course Length: 2 Years
Start Date: February, July and November annually

- Each paper consists of two, 2-hour lectures per-week plus a 1-hour tutorial with your tutor.

Employment
If you are studying in the NZDipBus, you can work part-time while studying at CLCA. Graduates of the Diploma can expect to find employment in a wide variety of business roles and are treated as preferred applicants by many businesses.
