Le Tuan Ngygen

Looking for a quality international education in both secondary and tertiary studies, Le Tuan Nguygen chose New Zealand. I love the quiet environment here, excellent for study, and the beach and harbour, great scenery..."

Tuan commenced his New Zealand secondary studies at Otuemotai College (Tauranga) mid 2001. An ideal candidate for Pre-Bursary studies, the course planned with him included Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Physics and an English Language (ESOL) course. This programme provided Tuan with the preparation to continue studies in 2002 that included three University Entrance subjects and ESOL preparing for the IELTS exams.

When describing his New Zealand education experience, Tuan talks a lot about the people he has met. "I have a very nice homestay family, friendly and fun. My classmates are friendly, and teachers are keen, enthusiastic and helpful. The International staff have been very supportive and taken a personal interest in me. The International Office manager took me with her eldest son to see Victoria University in Wellington...I enjoy living in a warm, friendly place."

He also enjoyed the sporting opportunities offered by his school, playing in the First X1 Soccer team and attending two national tournaments whilst at Otumoetai College. "There are excellent opportunities to play sport here."

With Tuan's great attitude towards learning and the support of his teachers, he has gained entry to his chosen course at New Zealand's Massey University and has just commenced study for a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration. Long term, he aims to be a Bank Manager back in Vietnam.
