Hey my name is Merit. I am a 17 year old girl from Germany and  I have been in New Zealand for 8 months now.

Before I came to New Zealand I decided to go to Spotwood College in New Plymouth, which was a really good decision, because I really love Spotswood College. Everyone is very open minded so I found friends very easily.  I'm pretty sure that the friends I met here will be friends for life. But not just the students are lovely. The teachers at Spotswood College are very supportive and like to help International students as much as they can. I really like going to school here, which is quite unusal , because I normally like to stay in bed! Spotswood College has heaps of funny subjects you can take. I for example do : Sport and Recreation, Geography, Food whats Cooking, Textiles, English and Drama. Sometimes all the Internationals go tramping, surfing or Dam Dropping which is soo much fun. Everyone enjoys outdoor activities!
