Kateryna Volodina

 "I adore this country. I come from a big city so the peace and ease of getting around is brilliant - I am never bored though, there are lots of things to do and people are so friendly, they don't mind if my English isn't perfect and are patient to listen to me."

Kateryna's parents moved to Timaru, New Zealand almost five years ago, "I was completing my commerce Degree in Finance and Management so I stayed in the Ukraine. I came here in November and enrolled in Aoraki's English Language classes."

 

"Before I came my English level was very low, at school we learnt simple English and no grammar. Here in New Zealand and at Aoraki my written English and understanding has got so much better.  I am getting really good at listening to the kiwi accent!"

 

Kateryna loves the real New Zealand lifestyle in Timaru and the South Island. "This place is beautiful! The people friendly and very accepting, I am always busy being involved in things and functions which really help my conversational English."

 

Kateryna is in the process of renewing her visa and wants to keep studying with Aoraki for another six months. "I want to improve my English even more and get a good pass rate on my ELT test. I would like to go to University here in New Zealand and do post graduate studies in Commerce and English."
