George Wong

Coming to New Zealand from Hong Kong, George completed his secondary schools studies at Opihi College and wanted to stay on in Timaru, New Zealand. He enrolled in Aoraki Polytechnic's Diploma in Information Systems Development (ISD). He is now well on his way to a Degree at CPIT.

"I left school and went straight to Aoraki Polytechnic; it's so great to have a local tertiary education provider which meant I could stay local.  I really liked the practical way of learning and the support you get from the tutors at Aoraki, we even got to go out into industry on work experience. I don't believe I would have made it through to the bachelor level if I didn't complete my Diploma with Aoraki first. Not only was my Diploma recognised as the first year of my CPIT degree but the support and one-on-one teaching you get at Aoraki set me up with the knowledge and study skills I needed to get me through."

 I'm look forward to getting my degree finished and starting my career!
