First year Sports Turf Management student, Yuki Wuxi, originally from Japan won a New Zealand Cricket Award. Yuki was interviewed earlier this year about his experiences in the small country town of Cromwell and mentioned that the best things about his unique programme are the “on the job training, and the awesome teachers and staff.”  The quiet of Cromwell allows him to concentrate on his studies, and he enthusiastically considers it to be “his ideal place to study.”

A Rotary Club Scholarship was awarded to Indian student Gandhi Krishnamurthy.

Otago Polytechnic Regional Manager Jean Tillyshort believes the awards ceremony is a great way of recognising the students’ efforts and finishing their year on a high.
