About this website

This website is provided by Education New Zealand (ENZ), a not-for-profit charitable trust. ENZ is set up to support the New Zealand export education industry, and to promote New Zealand’s education services offshore.

ENZ is recognised by the New Zealand Government as the umbrella industry body for education exporters in New Zealand.

ENZ is governed by an independent Chairperson and Board of Trustees. They are elected by an electoral college of New Zealand institutions, all signatories to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students in New Zealand.

The organisation is staffed by a small, professional and highly committed team that works closely with industry and our many stakeholders.

Education New Zealand’s stakeholders

Education New Zealand’s (ENZ) strategic partnerships help us to support the export education industry.

ENZ and the New Zealand Ministry of Education have a partnership for the support of export education industry development activities. The agreement gives ENZ’s initiatives important government mandate and support.

ENZ also works in partnership with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to jointly manage the marketing of New Zealand education internationally, through the national export education marketing programme.

In addition to our formal partnerships with the Ministry of Education and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, we have strategic relationships with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Tourism New Zealand and the Department of Labour.

Internationally, ENZ has partnership agreements and other arrangements with organisations throughout Asia, the Pacific, the Americas and Europe.
