Nguyen Hoai Linh

When considering the best way to develop a successful career in business, Nguyen Hoai Linh chose a New Zealand education.

Leaving Vietnam two years ago, she enrolled first in the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies programme, available through ACG (Academic Colleges Group) New Zealand International College in Auckland. This certificate not only guarantees entry into the University of Auckland, but provides students with the necessary skills – including English Language - for study at tertiary level. On completion of this year-long course, Linh was able to enter into an undergraduate degree course at the University of Auckland. She is now into her second year studying for a Bachelor of Commerce.

“Thanks to my New Zealand education I can now communicate well in English. And in addition to experiencing new people and a new culture, I’m obtaining knowledge for my future career. When I’ve finished my degree, I will go back to my country and work in marketing or information system related job. I am also interested in working in an advertising company or e-business.

“Not only does my current degree course provide me with the right qualification, I’ve also had the invaluable experience of living and studying in a different environment.“

Linh has loved her time in New Zealand. “This is a peaceful country, with beautiful scenery and a clean, green image.” She recommends her experience to other students from her country, believing that “if you try your best and follow the right direction, then you will succeed”.
