Choosing a tertiary programme

There are more criteria to consider for tertiary study:

•    Level of study – diplomas, certificates, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees

•    Type of study – full-time, part-time, extra–mural/distance learning

•    Discipline – the chosen subject, related subjects

•    Location – city/town, region

•    Institution type – PTE, Foundation, ITP, University

•    Course duration – how long the study will take.

See Find a Course page on www.newzealandeducated.com

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) provides details of all education providers.  This will include contact details, their registration and accreditations, if they are signatories to the Code of Practice, names of degrees and courses, National Qualification Framework (NQF) standards and any audit reports.

See www.nzqa.govt.nz/providers/index.do

Tertiary providers will have their own websites and information / marketing materials they are happy to send.
