    Lake Taupo is New Zealand's biggest lake and a playground for water sports like sailing, water skiing and jet boating. The mountain biking and hiking in the surrounding mountains is some of the world’s best.

  • Rotorua

    Rotorua lies on the southern shore of Lake Rotorua. The most known feature of Rotorua is the geothermal activity in the area. There are quite a few geysers and hot mud pools located right in the city. It got it’s name after it was buried by the eruption of Mount Tarawera on 1886. Rotorua is renowned by many hot bubbling mud pools filling the air with their distinctive smell.
