The Graduate Diploma in Journalism Studies is designed for two groups:
· Working journalists who wish to increase their knowledge and skills
· People who are simply interested in the subject or who wish to ultimately apply for Massey’s vocational Graduate Diploma in Journalism
The diploma develops students' understanding of both theoretical and applied issues in journalism and related areas. Topics covered include the history of journalism, media law and ethics, feature writing and freelancing, investigative reporting, writing and sub-editing, global journalism, environment and science reporting, and public relations.
