This programme enables students to develop confidence, skills and the ability to succeed in degree-level study. Teaching methods are designed to develop skills in: written and oral communication, academic writing, numeracy, problem solving, critical thinking, accessing library resources, reading and listening, confidence building, computer literacy, note taking, learning styles and study techniques. The lecturers aim to provide an environment that meets the learning needs of all students. This includes small group tutorials where students and lecturers work together to enhance learning.
