The Air New Zealand Certificate in Airline Customer Service is a 16 week training programme designed to provide prospective frontline employees with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to work within the unique and demanding aviation airline/aviation industry. After a short time, the course and it’s graduates have gained respect from the wider industry with graduates now placed in employment with all the major aviation employers. (Air New Zealand – Airport Services, Contact Centre, Business Direct, Freedom Air, Air Nelson, Pacific Blue, Jetconnect/Qantas, Emirates, Menzies Aviation, AIAL, Customs and AVSEC). Courses commence on a monthly basis at our modern Auckland based training centre, where Air New Zealand and employees of many other airlines receive their advanced aircraft training. This provides a great opportunity for students to mix and network with airline employees who undertake the various roles required to operate an airline.
The National Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering (Related Technology) – Level 3 is 36 weeks in duration and held annually in both our Auckland and Christchurch based training centres. Most employers in the industry, including Air New Zealand, view this qualification as a pre-requisite for employment as a trainee or apprentice. Students begin by learning the fundamentals of the aviation industry and its regulations, how aircraft fly and are constructed. They then move on to more advanced subjects covering aircraft propulsion, avionic and mechanical systems and structural repair practices. Following this training, successful students have the opportunity to continue their studies towards a tradesman qualification within the formal training centre environment, or apply for a traineeship with an aircraft maintenance provider.
For those who are serious about a career in aviation, there is no better choice than Air New Zealand Airline Training.
